Big Mississippi Athlete to Represent the West

Richard Dickson of Ocean Springs High School in Mississippi is the #15 ranked Tight End in the Country, and he will represent the West in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

The classic East vs. West match-up will be played and televised live on NBC January 7th at 1:00 p.m. (EST) and will feature the top 78 prep football student-athletes in the country.

Richard Dickson, who recently committed to the LSU Tigers, is a two way standout at defensive end and tight end. That versatility helped earn him a spot on the U.S. Army All-American Team where players that can play different positions on a high level are at a premium.

Dickson stands 6-4 and 240 pounds, and he will be a weapon for the West on offense or defense, depending on where the coaches feel he is needed the most.

Dickson was one of 400 of the best high school athletes in the country nominated to the game and eventually chosen by the Selection Committee. is an Official Selection Partner of the U.S. Army All-American Game.
