Lancaster, Texas offensive lineman Anthony Morgan has not been talked as much about as some of the other top lineman in the state, but he’s now being mentioned with some of the best in the state.
“I have a lot of schools that are showing me interest right now,” Morgan said. “Alabama, Texas Tech, Texas A&M, Baylor, TCU, Oklahoma State and Oklahoma are all showing me a lot of interest right now. I have a verbal offer from Texas A&M right now.”
The 6-foot-4, 335-pound Morgan has the size to play tackle, but he’s surprisingly quick and agile for his size.
“I really like Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Texas Tech the best right now,” Morgan said. “It’s still real early and everything so there are definitely some other schools that could get on the list.”
Morgan will get some good practice in the pre-season now that top defensive line prospect Stephen Thomas has transferred from North Mesquite to Lancaster.
“I can go out of state or whatever, I just want to make sure that I get a good education,” Morgan said. “I probably won’t make an early decision, I just want to check out everything and see who all offers and stuff. I am going to go to a lot of one day camps this summer to see some different schools.”
