Another athlete is beginning to emerge on the Ohio recruiting scene, and he has already received his first official offer. A multitude of programs are interested in his services and there should be even more offers to follow shortly.

Ken Bruton, a 6-foot-2, 205 pound, athlete from Miamisburg, Ohio is a versatile athlete who could project at a few different positions on the next level.

“I played tight end, wide receiver and defensive end as a junior. I feel more comfortable at receiver, but no one has been specific on what position they want to bring me in to play. I guess I am considered as an athlete,” Bruton explained.

There is no doubt that Bruton’s passion probably lies on the offensive side of the ball.

“I consider myself as a physical and smart player. I try to run crisp routes, and make good decisions,” Bruton explained of his on the field tendencies. “I try to pattern my game after Kellen Winslow when he played for the Hurricanes. I try to run crisp routes like him, and just try to get open so I can get the ball in my hands.”

Bruton has already received his first official offer, but there are hosts of top programs continuing to show him heaps of attention.

“I got my first scholarship offer from Akron on February 24th. The offer made me feel great, and it opened my eyes to the fact that I can get a college scholarship. I think there will be more to come. I am going to visit Akron for their junior day this Sunday.”

“I am also getting looked at by Iowa, Pittsburgh, Wisconsin, Cincinnati, Georgia Tech, Illinois and Boston College,” Bruton reported.

Bruton will have a busy summer, as he plans to attend numerous college campuses for summer camps in an effort to show a wider variety of programs what he can do.

“I am going to Ohio State, Iowa, Michigan, Pittsburgh, and probably Indiana. I am pretty excited to hit the camp circuit this year.”

As a junior, Bruton hauled in nine receptions for 204 yards in a run based offense. On defense, he racked up 54 tackles and 4.5 sacks. He was named as an honorable mention All-Conference selection for his efforts on the field.
