Lets take a closer look at some of the top rising senior football prospects as we unveil the top 101 football prospects in the state of Florida. These rankings were assembled by Scout.com Florida Recruiting Analyst Mike Bakas. Mike can be reached at mbakas@scout.com. Today, lets take a look at numbers 1-10.

10. Alphonso Bryant, WR, 6-0, 195, Homestead
There isn't a smoother receiver anywhere in the state this year than Bryant. He has all the physical tools you look for in a receiver. If he puts up better numbers in 06, he'll climb this list even higher.

9. Adewale Ojomo, DE, 6-3, 215, Hialeah
Somewhat of a sleeper, Ojomo is a big time defensive end prospect. Athletically, he's off the charts and he's everywhere on the field when watching him play. He goes 100 mph every play. His best days are way ahead of him. Once he's done growing, he'll be the prototype at that position.

8. D'Angleo McCray, DE, 6-3, 280, Jacksonville (Jackson)
The MVP of the Scout.com All-American Combine in Jacksonville, McCray has the ability to be a difference maker at tight end, defensive end, or defensive tackle. He's got everything you look for in a defensive lineman. It all starts with athletic ability and he's as much an athlete at 280 that you'll find.

7. Armando Allen, RB, 5-9, 185, Hialeah (Miami Lakes)
After sharing playing time in the backfield as a junior, Allen will likely explode onto the scene this year. He averaged 9 yards per carry as a junior playing against the toughest brand of football (North Miami) in America. There isn't a faster, more explosive back in this year's class.

6. John Brown, DT, 6-1, 285, Lakeland
People throw out Warren Sapp comparisons all the time and usually they don't really make much sense. In this case, they do. Brown is built low to the ground and just dominates because of his combination of strength and quickness. He's the headliner of a tremendous senior class coming up at Lakeland.

5. Noel Devine, RB, 5-7, 170, North Fort Myers
People have been talking about this kid for years. He's Mr. Excitement with the ball in his hands. He can score from anywhere on the field if he touches it. There isn't a more talented player anywhere in America this year. Being 5-foot-7 and having some off-the-field issues that have been well documented prevented him from being No. 1 on this list.

4. Deonte Thompson, WR, 6-0, 185, Belle Glade (Glades Central)
The ideal wide receiver prospect with size and incredible speed, Thompson had a tremendous spring which was capped off by a strong spring game. He's been on the national recruiting radar ever since he ran a 4.28 at the Scout.com All-American Combine in Jacksonville before his junior season and now he's emerged as the state's No. 1 wide receiver prospect.

3. Antwain Easterling, RB, 5-10, 185, Miami (Northwestern)
Everyone talks about Devine's quickness and Allen's speed but Easterling is the best natural runner of the group. He has the best instincts as a runner and is also the biggest of the three. He plays against some of the toughest competition around and has a tremendous attitude and work ethic. The way he's able to navigate through traffic and make people miss reminds you a lot of a young Edgerrin James or a young Clinton Portis.

2. Torrey Davis, DT, 6-4, 285, Seffner (Armwood)
The MVP of the Scout.com All-American Combine at FAU, Davis has all the tools you look for in a defensive line prospect. He plays with incredible strength and quickness for a player his size. He has the ability to dominate as a one-gap pass rusher inside and can chase down running backs all day long. He needs to continue working on his grades, which would make him the total package. There can't be a more talented defensive lineman anywhere in the country.

1. John Brantley, QB, 6-2, 185, Ocala (Trinity Catholic)
In leading his team to a state championship in 2005, Brantley was incredible. He put up video game-like numbers and made it look easy in doing so. He's got all the physical tools but in today's game where intangibles are so important in quarterbacking, Brantley has the total package. His teammates love him as a leader. It's nearly impossible to get him rattled. He's gotten tremendous coaching at the prep level and will enter the college game with a head start on most of his competition because of how much he knows about the game.
