Rebecca Johnston: What is your favorite moment in sports history? Art Evans: When Michael Jordan came out of retirement and won another championship. Everybody thought he was old and couldn't do it again. RJ: What would you do first if you won the lottery? AE: Put it all in the bank, and then buy my Mom a house. RJ: Who is the most important person in your life? AE: My mom. RJ: What is the hardest thing you have ever gone through? AE: Transferring from basketball to football. I was a real big fan of basketball. RJ: What's the funniest thing that ever happened to you? AE: When I committed to Tennessee and my best friend, Chris Rogers who plays at Alabama, told me he couldn't talk to me about playing in college anymore because the coaches told him he couldn't. I was like "but you're my best friend". RJ: What is something we don't know about your head coach? AE: He's like my second father. I look up to him a lot. RJ: Who is the best player on your team (besides you)? AE: The whole team. RJ: You are not falling into that trap are you? AE: (laughing) Noooooo. RJ: What is your favorite thing about school? AE: I like the learning. My favorite subject is math, and I like to work math problems. I like to learn anything to do with math. RJ: What do you plan to major in? AE: Either Business Management or Engineering. RJ: What is your favorite childhood memory? AE: Making the basketball team. RJ: How old were you? AE: Eight (years old). RJ: What is your greatest virtue? AE: I think I'm just an all around good guy. RJ: What is the virtue you most admire in others? AE: Honesty. I don't want to be around people that lie. RJ: Do you have pets? AE: No. I did but I gave them away. RJ: What is your favorite food? AE: (laughing) I hate to say it but McDonald's double quarter-pounder with cheese. RJ: Who is your favorite musical performer? AE: Puff Daddy, because he does it all Rock, R&B and Rap. RJ: What is your favorite video game? AE: NCAA 2007 football. RJ: Nickname? AE: I've got several. One is Primetime. My coach gave me that because my coach played with Deion Sanders. Another one is Speed Demon or Smooth because I have long legs and I'm a smooth runner. The local newspaper calls me The Speedster. RJ: What is your favorite season of the year? AE: Play-off season, November December. RJ: If you could visit any place where would you go? AE: Europe. RJ: Where would you like to live? AE: I guess I better say Knoxville, Tennessee (laugh). RJ: Who is your hero? AE: Jesus Christ. RJ: What is your proudest moment? AE: When we won the state championships last year through all the adversity with the school. RJ: Excluding football what is your favorite sport? AE: Basketball. RJ: If you could attend a football game with two people, one a family member or friend and the other person someone you don't know but, that you admire, who would you take? AE: My mom and Deion Sanders. RJ: After your college career is over how would you like to be remembered in their history?
