Harrisburg, Pa., running back LeSean McCoy had the world in the palm of his hands at this time last year. He was the No. 1 player in the state, regarded by some as the nation's premiere running back. He was in position to shatter state rushing records. He would also learn that he had earned a spot in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.
Four weeks into the season that all came crashing down as McCoy was tackled akwardly by Harrisburg linebacker Xzavier Hunter and the five-star back suffered a severe ankle fracture.
After his Christmas break, McCoy headed north to Milford Academy to finish up his academic requirements. On signing day he announced he had committed to the Miami Hurricanes, but he was not eligible to sign, thus making him still able to change his mind.
For months there has been discussion about McCoy that has him linked to Penn State and Pittsburgh. There was discussion as to whether he would return to Milford for the fall session or venture elsewhere.
McCoy has returned to Milford a better more humble teenager, who is ready to prove to everyone that he is still one of the best players in the nation. To ease the minds of Hurricane fans, McCoy told Scout.com that he is still committed to Miami.
