Rusk High star Justin Sturns lead his team to a narrow victory in what may have been the most exciting game prep game in the state this weekend. Sturns is currently rated as the No. 23 RB in the country by Scout.com

Scout.com four-star prospect Justin Sturns a 5-foot-9, 200-pound running back from Rusk High rushed for 319 yards and four touchdowns in a 49-48 win over Palestine Westwood.

Riley Dodge a 5-foot-11, 170-pound junior quarterback from Carroll High in Southlake scored five total touchdowns. He rushed for 182 yards and four scores and added an additional 78 yards and one score through the air.

California verbal commitment Brock Mansion ran for two touchdowns and threw for two touchdowns to lead his team to a 49-19 victory.

Scout.com three-star Rice commit Nathan Dick, a 6-foot-4, 200-pound quarterback from Allen High led his team to a 26-14 victory over Wylie. Dick passed for 260 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 50 yards and two touchdowns in the victory.

‘08 target Sam McGuffie led Cy-Fair High to a 42-14 victory over Langham Creek. McGuffie had 28 rushes for 277 yards and scored five touchdowns.

Scout.com three- star prospect Demetrious Woods, a 6-foot-1, 175-pound running back ran for 104 yards, scored a touchdown, and also threw for 32 yards in 34-7 victory over Westbury.

Scout.com four-star prospect James Kirkendoll had a good game despite the fact Round Rock lost to Leander 21-38. Kirkendoll ran for 60 yards and hauled in seven passes for 63 yards.

Many people may not be talking much about Leander star Curenski Gilleylen, but he continues to have strong performances week in and week out. In the victory over Round Rock, Gilleylen, scored two touchdowns in the first five minutes of the game by hauling in a 42 yard touchdown reception and running in a score from 45 yards out.

Arizona State commitment Nick Foles a 6-foot-5, 240-pound quarterback from Westlake High had a big game in a 74-12 victory over Anderson. Foles completed 7-of-8 passes for 183 yards and two scores before sitting halfway through the third quarter.
