Jordan Kennedy a 6-foot-0, 170-pound athlete from Glenpool High racked up and also added six receptions for 129 yards helping the Warriors continue a climb towards the top of the class 4A rankings by defeating Edmond Deer Creek 27-10. Kennedy‘s teammate Michael Wright also had a big game as he added 215 yards and two touchdowns on the ground.
Army All-American selection Gerald Jones, a 6-foot-1, 190-pound athlete from Millwood High had a nice game in a 31-10 win over Oklahoma Christian despite having to leave the game due to an illness. In the victory Jones compiled 92 yards and a touchdown on the ground and added an additional 71 yards passing.
The Muskogee “Legion of Doom” defense deserves all the credit in the world for stifling what was a potent Washington High offensive attack. They held the previously undefeated 6A No.1 Hornets scoreless in the 12-0 victory. LB Jarryd Horn kept up his torrid pace as he racked up 20 tackles and forced a fumble.
Locust Grove Freshman Beau Marsaln, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound quarterback threw for 301 yards and seven touchdowns as the Pirates defeated Blackwell 46-8.
Scout.com four-star cornerback Ryan Broyles, a 5-foot-11, 170-pounder from Norman High racked up 322 total yards and scored four touchdowns in a 56-31 victory over Lawton-Eisenhower.
Kenneth Sessions, junior running back for class 5A No. 2 East Central High had 221 total offensive yards and scored three touchdowns in a 56-14 drubbing of Claremore. Teammate Corey Taylor also added three scores in the win.
Victory Christian wide receiver Corey Stewart had another big night helping to secure a 42-10 victory over Checotah. Stewart had over 90 yards and two touchdowns receiving and also added a 90 yard kickoff return for a touchdown.
Owasso’s K.J. Washington, a 5-foot-9, 165-pound athlete led his team to a 22-7 victory over Sand Springs. Two receptions for 85 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 175 yards and a score.
Washington High running back Michael Harris still racked up 123 yards on 30 carries in the 12-0 loss against Muskogee. Harris was roughed up early, but once again showed the toughness that makes him the states top back.
