Fla. DE Explains Commitment
"I took my official visit there over the weekend," Grant said. "I loved it. From start to finish, it was great. On Sunday, I called my mom to tell her that I wanted to commit and she told me that it's OK if I wanted to get (the process) over with. She was OK with it and then I called my coach and he was OK with it. So I committed to them on Sunday morning." Grant, 6-foot-4 and 210 pounds, explained why he picked the Huskers. "I wanted to commit soon because I wanted to be able to focus on the playoffs and my acacemics," he said. "Nebraska provided the right opportunity at the right time. It was a lot of fun there. I love Coach Blake. He has experience with the Cowboys in the NFL so I know he has connections. They led the nation in sacks last year so he obviously knows how to put his guys in position to be successful. I talked to some of the players about him and they all loved him. They all said good things about the school too and that helped." The standout defensive end, who has 7 sacks so far this season, said he's finished with visits and is hoping to add another player to Nebraska's commitment list. "Me and Moses (Jenkins) went up there," he said. "He loved it. He really liked Iowa but he loves Nebraska. I don't know what he's gonna do but I really hope he picks Nebraska because I don't know anyone there and we could be roommates and continue being teammates for a few more years."
