Profile 2003 - Emmanual Harrell (WR)
LaGrange High School (LaGrange, GA) is once
again loaded with D1 talent this year. Blake
Mitchell, Skyler
Thornton, and Adrian
Griffin all have multiple scholarship offers, but the best of the
bunch may be wide receiver Emmanual
Harrell. Harrell has some work to make up in the classroom, but his
talent is unquestionable. He is capable of making the tough catch in
traffic, as well as running by and around defenders once he has the
ball. LaGrange went 13-0 last year in part because of the balance that
having a 1,600+ yard rusher and a duo of Mitchell and Harrell. Despite
the likelihood of having to start his career in a JuCo or Prep school,
several schools are already chomping at the bit hoping to get him signed
and placed. "I have offers from Arkansas, Alabama, South Carolina,
LSU, and North Carolina," said Harrell. "I went to Auburn's
passing camp with my team this summer, but my favorite teams right
now are probably South Carolina, Florida, Michigan State, Alabama,
and LSU. I'm also looking at
Georgia a little bit." Football
fans across the south may have to wait an extra year or two to see
Harrell on the field, but the wait will be worth it. This kid is a
special athlete.
