Florida WR Having Outstanding Season
"We're having a great year," Tray Herndon said. "We're 11-0 and getting ready to play South Sumter in the second round of the playoffs. They knocked us out last year so we're very excited to play them this week." Herndon, 6-feet and 175 pounds, is having a record-setting year in the Jacksonville area. In 10 regular season games, he caught 64 balls for 1,363 yards and 14 touchdowns. "In the first round game, I only had four catches for 67 yards. That was my worst game of the season statistically but we won 38-0 and didn't really need to throw that much." The talented receiver prospect has not yet scheduled any visits and plans on waiting till after the season to do that. "I'm trying to focus on our season right now," he said. "We're trying to win a championship and we have a huge game this week. The colleges I talk to the most are Kentucky, Troy, Middle Tennessee, Indiana, and UCLA. Those guys call pretty much every week. All of them except UCLA have (offered)." Herndon isn't ready to name a favorite yet but he knows what he'll be looking for on his visits. "I don't have one that stands out because I haven't gotten to those schools yet," he said. "A little bit of it will be location, a little will be the business program, and a little will be the depth chart. Whoever has the best combination of the three will be looking real good."
