In the recruiting business we often urge prospects to send us senior film. Often times there is a very big difference between a player as a junior and as a senior, as we say something clicks. Well for James Rogers that holds very true. Rogers senior film has helped raise him from a mid-level prospect to one of the top safeties in the Midwest.

Lamphere (Mich.) athlete James Rogers, 6-foot-2, 175 pounds can play a myriad of different positions and he plays them all well. We like him as a safety. Rogers shows great closing speed in his senior film. In several clips he is not even on the screen and as soon as the back turns the corner Rogers shows up like he was shot out of a cannon. He is solid in coverage and very good in run support.

Another area where Rogers excels is in the return game. In his senior highlights you will see sevral returns that Rogers takes to the house.

Rogers had an outstanding senior year statistically. At running back he rushed for 1,729 yards and 16 touchdowns on 204 carries. He averaged 8.48 yards per carry and 192.1 yards per game. He caught three passes for 89 yards and a touchdown. He averaged 29.67 yards per catch. defensively, he tallied 40 tackles.
