The Oklahoma Sooners landed one of their biggest recruiting prizes when in-state talent Austin Box gave them a commitment in March.

Five-star prospect Austin Box, a 6-foot-3, 220-pound athlete from Enid, Okla., is currently rated as the No.1 safety prospect in the nation according to Scout.com.

Box is a two-way standout for the Plainsmen. He plays a big role on defense and he is the main component in their offensive efforts as the starting quarterback.

As a junior Box ran for over 800 yards and scored 13 rushing touchdowns to go along with 1,400 yards passing and 16 touchdowns.

Box was selected to play in the U.S. Army All-American Bowl on Saturday, January 6, 2007 at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
