Wisconsin RB Cas Prime Update
Cas Prime, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound, running back from Janesville (WI) Parker will be a prospect to keep an eye on in 2002.
Prime will be a three-year varsity starter at the tailback position. He rushed for 1,000 yards as a sophomore and 1,811 yards with 24 touchdowns as a junior.
"Wisconsin and North Dakota State have offered me a scholarship." Prime said. "Iowa and Nebraska have been starting to pick up quite a bit now.
Prime is considered one of the top prospects in the Midwest but you may not have seen his name on many of those hit lists because he needs to get his academics in order.
"I had a meeting with my coach the other day. I have a 2.0 GPA and now I need to get the test score. I'm confident that I'll be a qualifier." Prime said.
Cas Prime was one of the most talked about prospects in Wisconsin as well as the Midwest in our conversations with college recruiters.
"My favorites would be Wisconsin, Iowa, Nebraska and Michigan. I'm really wide open right now."
Prime also letters in basketball and baseball.
August 17, 2002 – Cas Prime Reports -
"There's really nothing new going on." Prime said. "Wisconsin and North Dakota State are still my only scholarship offers.
"I'm getting a lot of mail, mostly from the Big Ten and Big XII schools.
"Wisconsin, Nebraska, Iowa, Michigan and Florida State are still my favorites.
"We just started practice yesterday and I'm ready to get the season started."
Prime hasn't set up any official visits as of yet. His recruitment should pick up considerably after he becomes a full qualifier.
