The Scarlet Knights have had a dream season, for the long term growth of the Rutgers program it is a must that they get a foothold in their native New Jersey. If Greg Schiano can accomplish that task, the rest of the Big East could be seeing a lot of this team at the top of the standings in the next few years.
Trenton (N.J.) Central two-way tackle Keith Newell was one of the first "Garden State" prospects to commit to Rutgers this season.
Scout.com attended one of Newell's recent games against Notre Dame. After the game, Newell took some time to discuss why he chose to pledge to Rutgers and what he thinks the future has in store for the Scarlet Knights.
The video below contains highlights of Newell in action. He is the left offensive tackle. The video also contains an interview with Newell.
