Although California wide receiver Anthony Boyles was a guest of the Trojans for their big game against Notre Dame, they still haven't offered him a scholarship. "I'm kind of disappointed they haven't offered," Boyles said. "I don't know why. I hear from them a little bit, but still no offer. If they do offer me, they'll definitely be in my top five…"

Four-star wide receiver Anthony Boyles (6-3, 185, 4.5), from Gardena Junipero Serra (Calif.), was in attendance for the USC/Notre Dame game--but the Trojans have yet to offer him. "I'm kind of disappointed they haven't offered," Boyles said. "I don't know why. I hear from them a little bit, but still no offer. If they do offer me, they'll definitely be in my top five.

"It was just an amazing experience," Boyles, ranked as the No. 10 wide receiver by Scout.com, said. "The stadium was packed and the fans were so loud. There were a lot of guys there and everyone seemed to be really cheering for USC as though they were part of the team. It was cool because I got a chance to talk with (freshman tailback) Stafon Johnson and (junior wide receiver) Dwayne Jarrett, but I'm not a groupie. I basically just hung out with my teammate Da'John Harris (five-star defensive tackle, ranked No. 6 by Scout.com). He had a good time too. I know he really likes USC, but it's not like he committed or anything."

Boyles says he favors Washington, Colorado and Arizona slightly over Oregon and Fresno State. All of his favorites have offered. He already visited Colorado on November 11 and will be visiting Washington on December 8.

"The people at Colorado are great," Boyles said. "The coaches are really relaxed and fun to be around. I really like the environment and the whole campus is nice. It's a lot of fun and it felt like a place that I could live in for the rest of my life."

He says that the Huskies are recruiting him the hardest. "I love the coaches there," Boyles said. "I think they have a great relationship with their players. I really like coach Eric Yarber (wide receivers) and have a good relationship with him. He treats me like a real person. I also like coach Tyrone Willingham. He's really well respected."

Boyles said he may visit Oregon on December 15, but hasn't set it up yet. He will also try to visit Arizona. "Arizona has really good coaches too," Boyles said. "I think they are doing a really good job rebuilding and they seem to be getting better and better every year. They're ready to bounce back and have a big year next season."

Junipero Serra finished with a 9-3 record. Boyles had 1500 all-purpose yards and 11 total touchdowns. He caught seven touchdowns while on the way to 830 yards receiving.

He reports a 2.7 core GPA and a 720 SAT. Boyles didn't take the November 2 SAT as planned because he was on the standby list and didn't make it. He plans to retake the test on December 2.
