"I've already seen all these schools (Tennessee, USC, UCLA and Arizona) on my own, either at camps or traveling with my parents," said Arizona center Kris O'Dowd. "I plan on deciding within two weeks after I return from my Arizona visit. My parents don't have a preference, but like I said, distance is a factor..."

Scout.com's No. 1 ranked center and five-star player Kristofer O'Dowd (6-4, 312, 5.0), from Tucson Salpointe Catholic (Ariz.), now favors Arizona, USC, UCLA and Tennessee. All have offered.

"Tennessee's official visit was September 16," O'Dowd said. "Coach Greg Adkins (offensive line) says that I could play early. During my visit I took in all the surroundings and listened to what everyone had to say about the programs and school. I loved that their coaches don't cut corners. They tell you how it is. They are good old-fashioned southern boys. I have to really think about it. The distance is a factor, so I couldn't attend Tennessee with ease.

"I visited USC November 25. Coach Lane Kiffin (offensive coordinator) says that the Trojans center is leaving this year. If I can come in and learn the program I'll be able to play early. I'm pretty confident that I can learn the program. I'm confident in my ability to beat out other players, if I had to do that. I have an excellent trainer and training program. My trainer has trained both college and NFL players. I train five days a week religiously.

"I have four schools that I favor and I favor them all equally. I do not have a leader at this point and the rumors that I'll be attending USC or have silently committed to USC are false," he said. "I have not made any verbal commitment or have spoken to any coaches at USC regarding a commitment..

"I visit Arizona December 8. Coach Eric Wilford (offensive line) would love for me to play with the Wildcats. So would a lot of other people. Why shouldn't they? I'm from Arizona. There are rumors that I will attend Arizona too. I can't make it any more clear that I have not made a decision. I'm not letting anyone pressure me into a decision. I don't have a leader and I could really attend any one of these schools. I'm seriously looking at all the school programs and it will come down to which school will best fit me.

"All the coaches are recruiting me hard," O'Dowd said. "I talk to all of them once a week and receive several text messages from them. Besides looking at the school programs, I'm also thinking about the distance. Being close to home is somewhat of a factor, but not the only one. Playing early is a factor as well. I feel that I am ready to play and have trained hard so that I can play early.

"I'll be visiting UCLA this weekend (December 1). Coach Dino Babers (running backs/recruiting coordinator) says that their center is leaving too. He wants me to step in and see if I can pick up their program. I think I can.

"I've already seen all these schools on my own, either at camps or traveling with my parents. I plan on deciding within two weeks after I return from my Arizona visit. My parents don't have a preference, but like I said, distance is a factor."

Final senior stats: 90 pancake blocks

O'Dowd reports a 3.1 core GPA and 1410 SAT score.
