MIAMI, FL -- After originally committing to Miami, four star cornerbacker Demarcus Van Dyke announced this morning that he will play for Urban Meyer.

In front of a crowd at Monsignor Pace High School, Van Dyke stood up, and pulled out a Gator hat signifying his commitment to Florida.

"I just decided to play my next four years with Florida," said the 6-foot-1, 170-pound cornerback, who added that it was his official visit to Florida that sealed the deal.

"When I went on my visit, they had a great atmosphere and the coach treated me like I was his own son."

Van Dyke said he has a great relationship with his recruiting coach Doc Holliday and in the end that was a huge factor.

Choosing the Gators over Miami, Van Dyke added that even with the looming hire of a coach in Coral Gables, he is going to stick with this commitment.

"I'm all Gator."
