"I'm
still committed to Ole Miss," said Drake Nevis in a brief phone conversation
on his way home.
As a whole how did the visit go?
"The whole
official visit went well. There are no negatives about Ole Miss. The whole trip
was positive and there were too many to list."
Nevis' cell phone went
dead after a couple of minutes, but he did tell us the meeting with Coach O went
well this morning, Jason Cook was his host and they had a "good time,"
and he still has three more official visits set up - LSU next weekend, Auburn
the weekend after that and "i'm not sure" about Texas A&M.
The
6' 2", 290 pounder had a monster senior campaign as he collected 110 tackles,
35 tackles for losses, 11 sacks, 25 QB hurries, 8 forced fumbles, and 2 recovered
fumbles this year.
The New Orleans Metro MVP was also recently named to
the 1st Team All-State, All-City, and All-West Banks team.
Drake has written
scholarships offers by Ole Miss, LSU, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Oklahoma, Miami,
Mississippi State, Nebraska, Colorado, Oklahoma State, Texas A&M, and Florida State.
