"It was really nice. It is close
to home. It is just nice down there," added the 6' 2", 210 pound Jerry Franklin.
Did anyone get to accompany Franklin on his trip?
"My
teammate, Darcel Johnson came with me. He liked it a lot too."
Was
the trip about what he was expecting or more or less?
"It was more
than I was expecting because all of the coaches are so cool."
What
was the highlight of the trip?
"I think what stood out the most to
me was how much the players really believe they are going to change things at
Ole Miss and how well I connected with them."
Who was Franklin's player
host?
"Allen Walker. He was a real nice guy, and he pretty much
answered all of my questions. I wanted to know how complicated the system was.
How long would it take me to learn it. I got a chance to go over their system
in the film room. At first, it looked pretty complicated, but I can study it and
get it down pretty quickly."
How did Coach Orgeron's one on one meeting
with Jerry go?
"It was nice. He was not trying to pressure me at all.
He was just talking about Ole Miss and how I would fit in. They just let the best
players play down there. There is no seniority or anything like that."
Where
does Ole Miss now stand?
"They stand pretty good."
Is
Jerry still committed to Arkansas?
"Yes sir, but this trip gives me
something to think about."
Franklin will take an official visit with
Arkansas next weekend; what are some of things he will be comparing to Ole Miss?
"How
the players are. How I fit in with them, and how I fit into their system. Is it
complicated or not?"
Will Jerry stick with his commitment to the Hogs
or end up at Ole Miss?
