'I am staying with MSU'

Ellis Lankster (CB, Jones CC, MS) - The UAB signee out of high school, committed to MSU recently, but received an inhome visit from the Ole Miss staff Sunday.

"Coaches Orgeron, Hughes, and Saunders came down Sunday. They told me how they needed a CB and that I could make a big impact for their team," added Ellis Lankster.

And what was Lankster's response?

"They got me thinking pretty good. I told them I would come up there this weekend for a visit, but I slept on it and decided not to. I called Coach Orgeron last night. He told me that he wanted me to be straight with him, so I told him I prayed about it and that I was still headed to MSU. I am not going up there this weekend anymore and there really is nothing anybody can do to change my mind. I am going to sign MSU this month."

Which colleges are staying in contact?

"Just MSU, Ole Miss, and West Virginia, but a couple more schools offered me too. I have offers from MSU, Ole Miss, West Virginia, USM, and Memphis."

In the end, what attracted Ellis to MSU?

"When I went on my official visit there, I just liked their environment, coaches and players. I really fit in well up there."

The 4 star CB for scout.com was named All-Region after collecting 62 tackles and 6 interceptions on the season.
