Profile 2003 - Dana Graydon (LB)
Dana Graydon
(6-0/205/4.64, Dougherty HS - Albany, GA) is one of the top linebackers in the south this year. He
said that he has offers from FSU, Georgia, Clemson, and Auburn, and is
currently waiting on an offer from another of his favorites.
"Georgia Tech is the only one that hasn't offered me yet out of my
favorite teams," said Graydon. "I haven't had a chance to
speak with them yet, so hopefully that will change." Graydon
lists 2 leaders out of his top 5 right now. "FSU is my favorite
team. I think if I don't go to FSU, I'd want to go to Georgia Tech.
Daryl Smith is up there and we played together when I was a freshman. He
completely changed my mind about football. When I came up I was playing
fullback, and he hit me so hard that I changed my mind right there that
I wanted to do the hitting instead of being hit," Graydon said with
a laugh. The transition to linebacker has been a good one for Graydon
who had 106 tackles and 13 sacks from his middle linebacker position. At
6-0/205 pounds, Graydon may be better suited to play outside in college.
FSU and Georgia Tech lead, and Graydon said that Georgia, Clemson, and
Auburn round out his top 5. Graydon was 1st team All-State as a junior
in Class 4A, and he will be looking to have another big season this
year.
