MYRTLE BEACH, S.C. -- Kyle Fischer waited through the season to see what options he had on the table, and the combination of Chuck Amato's firing and an official visit to Vanderbilt sealed the deal for the Spring Valley offensive lineman. | |||

"I've always wanted to go ahead and choose a school because this recruiting process has always been long and tedious for me," said the 6-foot-6, 280-pound offensive tackle. "I really liked what I heard from Vanderbilt and they have a great education." Fischer, who will start at left tackle for the South squad in South Carolina's annual North-South all-star game, made the decision last weekend while visiting the school. "I committed on my official visit last weekend. I liked the way the coaches connected with the players. On my official visit, they took me out with all the coaches, a lot of the players, and we just hung out and had a good time." Kyle Fischer Profile |
