Scout.com All-Big East Team

A bevy of young talent has invigorated the Big East including some dynamic offensive personnel. Scout.com reveals its All-Big East team including the Offensive and Defensive Players of the Year.

Steve Slaton of West Virginia averaged and incredible 7.1 yards per carry on the way to 1,733 yards rushing. He averaged 172.8 All Purpose Yards per game, a whopping 35 more than fellow All-Big East running back Ray Rice who finished second in the conference in that category.

It wasn't just offense in the wide open Big East though, linebacker H.B. Blades is the Scout.com Defensive Player of the Year in the Big East. Blades led the conference in tackles with 147. He averaged 12.2 tackles per game, and there wasn't another player in the conference that was even in double digits.

The players from Louisville, West Virginia, and Rutgers had a lot of company from other teams on the Scout.com All-Big East squads as the talent level in the Big East is rising every year across the entire conference.
