This season he racked up an impressive 106 total tackles, 14 tackles for loss, two sacks, recovered one fumble, intercepted two passes and returned one for a touchdown. He also added an additional 396 yards rushing and six touchdowns on offense.
After the season Cooper was named First Team All-State and added the AAA Lower State Best Back Award from the South Carolina Football Coaches Association. Cooper then went on to shine in the Shrine Bowl. In the game he racked up six tackles, two tackles for a loss, forced a fumble and had a quarterback sack.
