"We lost in the quarterfinals," Demetrious Davis said. "We finished up 8-3. I performed pretty good this year. There is always something to improve on."
When asked of his verbal commitment, "My commitment is good. I am going to Nebraska for sure."
The 6-4, 285-pound senior is uncertain of his position on the defensive line, but the coaches have a lot of confidence in his ability.
"The coaches told me they would try me at all the positions on the d-line," Davis said.
The off-season work-outs are an important part of preparation to on-field performance. Davis is a weight room warrior with good numbers including bench press of 475 pounds, squat 475 and 345 hang clean.
"I am just working out and trying to get ready for Nebraska," Davis added.
Davis maintains a 3.2 grade point average and took the ACT in December.
