Q&A: Nick Fanuzzi
Q: Talk a little bit about your conversations with Coach Shannon since the coaching change and your feelings about him. A: Coach Shannon is a great guy. He came and made an in-home visit a couple days after he got the job. He talked about the situation there and how it was a great fit and how he'd love for me to go there. About how he is going to rebuild the program off of this year and about what he plans to do with the offense next year and the years to come. He said he was getting on the recruiting trail and going out and getting guys, it was a nice visit. Q: Have you had a chance to take your official visit out there and meet any of the current commitments or guys that might come in? A: I've made my official visit out there and been out there a few times. I've seen a couple guys and talked to a couple guys on the phone, but this week is going to be a great opportunity to meet a few of my future teammates and to talk to them in person will be even better so I am really looking forward to it. Q: Talk a little about the experience of getting selected for this game and the anticipation of the game. A: It's a honor to play in this game and you get to play with the top players in the nation. Its something you really want to go out and compete to your fullest. Q: Miami plays tonight, talk about your feelings on tonight's game and what Miami needs to do to win the game. A: Their defense speaks for itself, they have been strong all year and the backbone of the team. I think the offense needs to come out and put some points on the board and finish the season strong.
