Notre Dame has just landed one of their biggest commitments towards their 2007 recruiting efforts when Matt Romine pulled a out the Fighting Irish cap during the live broadcast of the U.S. Army All-American Bowl.

Matt Romine, a 6-foot-6, 270-pound offensive tackle from Union High in Tulsa, Okla. is one of the best technical linemen in the Southwest.

The Scout.com four-star prospect racked up major scholarship offers from schools like Oklahoma, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Miami (Fl), Florida, Michigan and a few others before pulling the trigger and announcing for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish during the U.S. Army All-American Game.

Romine has developed his game at Tulsa Union under the tutorship of one of the State’s best offensive line coaches, Steve Garner. He has started since his sophomore season and through hard work he has become on of the best pass protection offensive tackles in the entire country.

Romine helped to lead the Redskins to two consecutive State Championship run in his sophomore and junior seasons, and earned All-State honors after leading the team back to the playoffs during his senior season.
