For years people have questioned Greg Schiano’s ability to land his state’s top talent, and today Rutgers University landed arguably the highest ranked recruit in its program’s history when Anthony Davis put on the Scarlet Knights hat during the live broadcast of the U.S. Army All-American Game.
Anthony Davis, a 6-foot-5, 315-pound offensive tackle from Piscataway High in N.J. could be a key piece to the recruiting puzzle for Rutgers class that will most certainly be more appealing now that they have set a precedent of landing some of the top players in the Northeast region.
Davis has been a nice looking prospect not only in the Army All-American game, but also in practice. His side of the line has done arguably the best job all week long in providing support against a stout defensive line that featured players like Ben Martin, Justin Trattou, and Martez Wilson.
