Four-star defensive end Kourtnei Brown (6-5, 230, 4.6), from Victory Christian Center School in Charlotte (N.C.), remains undecided between Alabama, Clemson, Michigan, Virginia Tech, Wake Forest and Tennessee. He insists all have offered and will wait until Signing Day (Feb. 6) to announce his destination.
"I will announce my commitment on Signing Day," said Scout.com's No. 21 defensive end. "I will have a press conference at my high school. I don't know which school I will pick right now, but I will announce it on Feb. 6."
Brown had no other comments about his college preferences. He denied he has set any official trip dates yet.
"I am extra fast for being a defensive end," said Brown, who claims to run a 4.4 forty. "Most defensive ends are not as fast as I am. God's gifted me with speed. I have God on my side. I am also strong, but not where I want to be."
"My weakness is that I don't bull rush," Brown said. "But I am so quick and have long arms. I can't use my speed to bull rush. I am not strong enough. I need to work on that. I also need to use my hands a lot more."
Final senior (9-3) stats: 130 tackles/31 sacks/2 blocked field goals/5 fumble recoveries
Brown reports a 2.8 core GPA/21 ACT/1260 SAT and said he will retake the SAT again.
