Sam-Earl Fehoko (6-1, 230, 4.6), Scout.com's No. 31 strongside linebacker from Farrington High School in Honolulu, Hawaii, favors Arkansas slightly over San Diego State, Hawaii, Tulane and Stanford. He said all have offered except Stanford.
"I will visit Arkansas on Jan. 19," Fehoko said. "They have one of the best football programs in the nation. They are a big-time team in the SEC. I was exposed to Arkansas when I went to the Max Emfinger's All-American Bowl Game in Louisiana. It was this past weekend (Jan. 5). I spoke with Arkansas and later they offered me a scholarship.
"San Diego State is where I feel comfortable, but I haven't been to Arkansas yet," Fehoko said. "I had a visit with them on Dec. 15. Head coach (Chuck) Long talks to his players. He points out their weaknesses and gives them tips. He is very organized. I like the way he coaches. My brother, Whitley Fehoko, is their offensive lineman. It would be nice to play with him.
"My visit to Hawaii is on Friday, Jan. 12," Fehoko said. "Coach (Jeff) Reinebold (assistant) is recruiting me. He is a defensive line coach. I think I will fit in with their team. It would also be nice to stay close to my family.
"Tulane will be Jan. 26," Fehoko said. "Defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach Thom Kaumeyer is recruiting me. He has been recruiting me since he was a coach at San Diego State. I like his coaching style. He is strict, but he gets things done.
"I would like to visit Stanford," Fehoko said. "Coach (Andy) Buh (linebackers) is recruiting me. He used to coach at San Diego State. He recruited my brother to San Diego State. Stanford is the top school in the nation in academics. They have a good football program. Some of my family members live near Stanford. It would be nice to be around family."
Fehoko reports a 3.6 core GPA and 1300 SAT (new version).
