Kendall Smith sticking with FSU

Kendall Smith (LB, Bushnell, FL) - Scout.com's #3 ranked MLB had previously stated that he was interested in visiting Alabama and Ole Miss because of the coaching changes at FSU, but things look to have settled down.

"I am going to FSU this weekend, and that will probably be it," added Kendall Smith.

What happened with the Alabama and Ole Miss visits?

"I was going to visit Alabama, but I did not have time to go. I am in the middle of basketball season right now. I guess I will not have time to take anymore visits. Ole Miss has not called me in the past couple of weeks, so I guess that is not going to happen."

Does this put Smith back in the "solid" category?

"Yes sir," stated the soft and always well mannered South Sumter product. "When I Went to their camp. I did not know I was a top recruit. I just went to their camp to get ready for my senior season. They had their top 2 LB recruits there, but they said they liked me the most. They liked the way I ran and covered. That made me feel good. I went to two of their games, and I liked how they play defense. They hit hard, so I decided I was coming to FSU."

Kendall had two visitors from the FSU staff come to his house Sunday.

"Coach Bowden and Andrews came by. They told us about the new staff and their plans for me. I am real excited about their plans for me. I think I am going to fit in good."

Smith has not had anymore staffs in his house this weekend.

Kendall was named District 4(2A) MVP after collecting 125 tackles, 15 losses, 2 int's, and 1 fumble recovery.

Smith claims a 3.0 GPA / 15 ACT
