The leader for
South Panola's line came from there play of their 6' 1", 255 pound defensive
tackle."I just play all out every game," added Jarred Draper.
I do not take any plays off, and I use my lower body strength to gain leverage."
But
it is Draper's quickness off of the ball that gives him the biggest advantage.
"I
am real quick, and I use my 4.9 speed to the best of my ability."
Jared's
strength also plays a role in his effectiveness.
"I am benching 325
right now and squatting 500."
Jared is one of the rare players from
the Tigers program that earned a starting job as a sophomore.
"That
season it really told me that I belonged. Playing with Chris Strong and all of
those guys was an eye opener for me. Once I knew I belonged, that really got me
going."
Draper was named Player of the Week after the Starkville and
Horn Lake games.
"I guess my best game was against Starkville. I had
a real good game against a good team. That gave me a lot of confidence."
Jarred
collected 48 tackles and led his team in sacks with 7.
"It was kind
of an up and down season. There were a lot of highs and lows. But I learned a
lot, and I got better as the season went along. I am just ready for next year."
Three
schools stand out right now.
"I like LSU, Auburn, and Alabama."
LSU
- "It is an SEC school."
Auburn
- "Another SEC school. I just like the SEC conference."
Alabama
- "Just another SEC school."
