Corey White visited Colorado State in December and looked like a lock to end up as a Ram, but after they filled all theirs spots he found himself searching for alternate choices. White's only offer now is from Idaho, but he thinks he also has a good chance of getting scholarships from New Mexico and Wyoming and plans to visit both the Lobos and Cowboys before Signing Day.

Corey White (5-8, 190, 4.55), from Bishop Gorman in Las Vegas (Nev.), will be taking an official visit to New Mexico this weekend (Jan. 26) and says he thinks the Lobos will offer him.

"They said they'd let me know during my trip if they'll offer," said the three-star prospect. "They seem to like me and I've got an old teammate that goes there (sophomore tight end Chris Mark). He loves it there. We played together my freshman year and it would be nice to play with him again."

White had an offer from Colorado State and visited the Rams on Dec. 8, but say they ran out of scholarships. "They filled all their spots," White said. "Right now, Idaho is the only school I have an offer from."

He visits Idaho on Feb. 2. "I like the coaches there a lot," he said. "Coach Robb Akey was recruiting me back when he was at Washington State. I like how truthful they are. They said that it's really different from Las Vegas there and that it's a nice, big college town. I like that it's all about football there."

White says the Vandals are recruiting him the hardest. He also likes Wyoming and hopes the Cowboys offer him. "I'd like to take a visit there before Signing Day," White said. "Maybe I'll go there during the week because I definitely plan to sign on Signing Day. I won't wait."

He reports a 2.8 core GPA and a 16 ACT and 800 SAT. "I'm taking the Princeton Review and will be retaking the SAT next month," White said. "I have over 30 hours of SAT classes, so I expect to do well." Recommended Stories
