3-Star WR Back From Third Visit
"It went good," Marquis Maze said. "We went to South Beach and hung out. We went to clubs and parties and just had a real good time. Miami's a lot different than what I'm used to." Is being different a good or bad thing? "In a good way," he said. "My favorite part about the visit was being able to chill on the beach. There are no beaches in Alabama or Tennessee and the players at Miami can go there at any time. That was the biggest difference about this visit compared to my other ones." Maze, 5-foot-9 and 165 pounds, said he enjoyed hanging out with the players and coaches. "The players are real cool," he said. "Everyone gets along really well. I met with Coach Shannon before I left today and he was talking about coming to play for Miami. I told him that I still have a decision to make." The standout receiver was asked how Miami now compares to the other two finalists, Alabama and Tennessee. "Exposure-wise, they're all the same," he said. "Other than that, they're a lot different. I just have to pick which one is best for me. All three of them said they're gonna be coming by my house later this week." Maze said he'll have two big factors that he'll be looking for when it comes time to make a decision. "Academics first," he said. "And second is the chance to get quality playing time early on. It's not gonna be an easy decision." Maze said he enjoyed meeting the other recruits during his visit. "They were real cool," he said. "I really didn't know them but they seemed to like Miami."
