Andre Christian (5-10, 175, 4.5), a Scout.com three-star defensive back from Skyline High School in Oakland (Calif.), suffered a disappointing end to his senior season when he injured his right knee. "I was trying to strip the ball from a wide receiver that caught the ball and landed wrong," Christian said. "That was that. I got my knee scoped last month (December) and am working out hard everyday to get it back to 100 percent."
Christian, ranked No. 51 by Scout.com, had an offer from San Diego State earlier during the season and says the Aztecs are still recruiting him. "The schools that I still hear from are San Diego State and Portland State," Christian said. "Because of my injury I didn't get a chance to take any official visits. Right now they are just waiting to see how my rehab goes and we'll see what happens. I don't have any offers.
"We've talked about the possibility of me greyshirting," he said. "But I don't know what's going to happen."
Christian finished his senior season with 13 total touchdowns and five interceptions on defense.
He reports a 2.5 core GPA and a 940 SAT.
