Sam-Earl Fehoko (6-1, 230, 4.6), ranked No. 31 as a strongside linebacker by Scout.com, denies a leader. "I plan to pray about it and hopefully it will come to me," Fehoko said. "I plan to decide soon, but don't know when. It could be anytime."
He visited San Diego State on Dec. 15 and Texas Tech on Jan. 20. "I really liked getting to know the coaches at Tech," said the young Hawaiian from Farrington High School in Honolulu. "They said I'd be able to come in and compete for a spot. They said that nothing is guaranteed, but that they expect a lot from me.
"I love the stadium," he said. "I really like playing on turf. It's really nice and the program is great. They have a lot of fan support and the facilities are amazing."
He also visited Hawaii (Jan. 12), but says he was underwhelmed with his Warriors visit. "I didn't feel very comfortable on my trip," Fehoko said. "There was a lot of expectations and I think they assumed I'd love it just because it's my home state."
Fehoko was also planning on visit Arkansas, but the Razorbacks stopped recruiting him after his recruiting coach left for Tulsa.
He reports a 3.6 core GPA and a 1360 SAT (new version).
