Lee Chambers Profile
"I am no longer committed to Mississippi State," said Lee. "It's down to Mississippi State, Miami, Alabama and Southern Miss."
Chambers saw Coach Randy Shannon from Miami earlier this week on an in home visit.
"Coach Shannon came in on Monday night," said Lee. "He said they are looking for a speed back to help them with kind of a one, two punch. He told me that they produce a lot of backs and he thinks I could be a player for them."
The Crimson Tide hosted Lee on an official visit back on January 12th. Chambers is still considering the Tide.
"I heard from Alabama last night," said Lee. "They are still interested."
Southern Miss was a school that was an early leader for Lee and they are now back in the running.
"Southern Miss came by my school for a visit today," said Lee. "I am looking at them again."
While Miami, Alabama and Southern Miss have been expressing interest in Lee this week one school, Mississippi State, has been awful quiet.
"I guess they are still recruiting me," said a puzzled Chambers. "I have not heard from them since I talked to them Monday. They were supposed to come in for a visit last night, but the visit got canceled."
When asked if Mississippi State and Lee were now headed in different directions, Chambers responded, "Yes". The talented back acknowledges that the relationship with Mississippi State has become fractured, but he would not elaborate on the details.
One week remains until national signing day and the wheels still continue to turn. As schools and players both make their final decisions, there will be some situations where parties part company. One such situation is Mississippi's Lee Chambers.
Lee Chambers no longer a commitment.
