"I'm all done with my visits," Lee Chambers said. "I'm starting to really narrow things down and get good idea of what's going on. I'll announce my decision on signing day." Chambers, 5-foot-10 and 175 pounds, was previously listed as a commitment to Mississippi State. However, that's no longer the case. "We're slowly starting to go different ways," he said. "I have some other options I'm looking at." Those other options appear to be Miami, Alabama, and Southern Miss. He has spoken to coaches at all three schools this week. "Alabama called on Tuesday," he said. "I talked to them. Coach Randy Butler from Southern Miss came to my school yesterday. And Coach Shannon came to my house on Monday." The talented running back said the meeting with UM coach Randy Shannon could not have gone any better. "It was great," he said. "Of all the coaches who ever came to my house, I've never seen one click with my mom like that. Him and her were talking about everything. She loved him. It was shocking to me how well they got along and how they connected." Shannon met with Chambers and his mom just one day after meeting with Chambers on Sunday. "One of the reasons he came just a day later is to meet with my mom," he said. "She didn't go on the Miami visit with me. I went with my head coach. He loves Miami, too. But I was glad to see my mom react the way she did about Miami." The two-time state 100m champion talked about some of the things Shannon went over with them. "Football-wise, he was saying how he wanted a one-two punch kinda like the Saints had this year," he said. "Javarris James is the power back of the future. He's looking for a speed back. He wants a couple running backs this year and he was saying how much they really want me at The U." Chambers, a full academic qualifier, plans on announcing his final decision on Signing Day.
