What happened?
"We are waiting to hear back from FSU,"
stated Maurice Harris' guardian, Wiley Farrington. "I have not seen Maurice
since he left off to school this morning, but Coach Bowden called us last night
and said they wanted to bring him in for a one day official visit on Sunday. Singing
Day is Wednesday, so it is getting kind of late."
Where does this
leave Harris' recruitment?
"I really think Ole Miss and Wisconsin
have the edge right now. He is going back and forth. Ole Miss is will go see his
mother on Saturday. If he goes to FSU on Sunday, we should know something shortly
after that."
Maurice had 112 tackles, 12 sacks, 4 forced fumbles,
and 1 interception last year. He was named 1st Team All-Dade, 1st Team All-State
for the State of Florida, Defensive MVP, Homestead News Leader's All-Star
Team and was selected to play in the All-American bowl and Dade/Broward All-star
classic.
Harris carries a 3.0 GPA and has already made a qualifying
score on the SAT test.
