Michigan, Oregon State and Oregon each had success in California in their search for quality defensive backs while USC and UCLA each got one of the best players at their position from a talented crop of DB's in the class of 2007...

Warren not only is the top cornerback in the state, but he showed with his play at the U.S. Army All-American Game, he’s one of the best in the nation. Viney may not have the size, but no one did a better job week in and week out of locking down receivers. Bolden wants to play running back, but his speed and athleticism could make him a great corner. Ross has excellent CB size, while Jackson and Gildon will give the Ducks two excellent coverage men.

One of the best defensive backs to come out of the powerhouse Poly program.

2. Courtney Viney, 5-9, 165, Fresno (Calif.) Edison
Committed to: UCLA
Consistently shut down receivers and quarterbacks tended to stay away from him.

3. Omar Bolden, 5-10, 180, Ontario (Calif.) Colony
Is hoping for a chance to play running back in college, but could be a special DB.

4. David Ross, 6-1, 185, Compton (Calif.) Dominguez

An excellent receiver, Thomas has a solid future in the Bulldogs secondary.
