"I want to win the state championship again,
but I want us to go undefeated this time," added the very quiet and humble
Bo Tillman.
Franklin County defeated Nettleton in last year's Class 3A
State Championship game and finished the season at 14-1. Bo had 75 tackles and
5 sacks from the defensive tackle position. Tillman's sophomore season he had
even a better year statistically, as he collected 84 tackles and 9 sacks.

Tillman set any personal goals for his senior campaign?
"I want to
have over a 100 tackles and 15 sacks."
Tillman was named 1st Team
All-State (Class 3A) and All-Conference last season for his play on the field.
Anything else he would like to accomplish, award wise, before he takes the show
to the next level?
"I would like to be named to the (Clarion Ledger)
Dandy Dozen Team, and I want to be a Parade All-American like my brother (Marcus Tillman).
What makes the 6' 7", 280 pounder, who ran a 4.9 at the
Ole Miss camp this past summer , such an impact player?
"I am a good
leader. My teammates respect what I have to say. I just practice real hard and
lead by example more than by my mouth. I am not a very talkative person."
Franklin
County advanced to the South State finals in '05 before finally breaking through
with a State Championship in '06. What did that teach Bo?
"I believe
we had a pretty good year. I had a pretty good year. But we won a lot of close
games. We just fought through it. It taught all us to never give up. That was
the main thing."
Where all did Bo get a chance to showcase his talents
last summer?"I just went to the Ole Miss OL/DL camp. That was it."
Does
he plan to attend any Jr Days this Spring?
"I am going up to Ole Miss
on February 24th for theirs."
Any scholarship offers on the table?
"Ole
Miss and LSU have offered me."
Anymore schools heavily involved?
"Florida,
MSU, and Oregon."
Which colleges are at the top of the list for Bo?
"Probably
Ole Miss and LSU."
What stands out about Ole Miss right now?
"They
have a good program, good coaches, and the school is nice. Everything at Ole Miss,
I like."
Bo's older brother, Marcus Tillman, started as a freshman
at DE/DT this past season. Does having the opportunity to play with his older
brother play a big role in his decision?
"It is a positive. Me and
Marcus would love to play together again, but I am not going to say it is the
factor or anything like that. I am just looking to go somewhere to get a good
education and be able to win football games and hopefully make it to the NFL."
What
are the positives for the LSU Tigers?
"They have a great football
team. It is a nice school, good program, and that is a good place to go to, LSU."
Which
camps will Tillman attend this summer?
"I will probably try to go
over to MSU, Ole Miss, and LSU."
What does Bo like about MSU?
"I
like everything about MSU. They have a good program."
Bo says he will
take the ACT test for the first time in April and carries a 3.0 GPA.
