Florida WR Now Has Seven Offers

Tallahassee (Fla.) Chiles standout wide receiver Daniel Bryant now has seven offers and he talked about the latest.

Daniel Bryant played his junior season at Chiles High in Tallahassee. He then transferred to Lincoln High in January. However, he's back at Chiles.

"Things aren't going too well right now," Bryant said. "The Florida High School Association is saying that I transferred for athletic reasons so I'm ineligible for this coming football season. If things don't get changed, I'll probably be going back."

Bryant, 6-feet and 175 pounds, is coming off a strong junior season, when he played opposite national recruit Melvin Ray. He finished the year with 37 catches for 264 yards and two scores.

"I just have the height and the speed," he said. "Most receivers over 6-feet aren't really that fast. I think I have a good combination."

The talented receiver now claims seven scholarship offers to his resume.

"They are from Florida, Florida State, Alabama, Illinois, Iowa State, FIU, and UCLA," he said. "I'm hoping a lot more come soon. It's been great. My top five right now would be Florida, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina, and Miami. I'm hoping those other three offer me."

Bryant spoke highly about the two schoools at the top of his list.

"Florida, I really like them because of their offense," he said. "They get the receivers involved and throw it a lot. Florida State, well, there's nothing wrong with staying home."

Bryant said he likes the other three schools he listed as well.

"Georgia isn't too far and they have a good program," he said. "South Carolina with Steve Spurrier has a good passing game. Miami, I really haven't heard too much from them but I'd be interested in checking them out."
