“I just transferred to Arroyo this semester,” quarterback Robert Fuller said. “I don’t think a lot of people know where I am yet. I’m still getting a lot of mail from San Bernardino High School. Hopefully, I’ll get more exposure playing for Arroyo. I just took my SATs too and I haven’t got my scores. I think once those come in, I’ll start seeing some offers...”

Robert Fuller, the 6-foot-3, 200 pound quarterback with 4.7 quickness from Arroyo Valley High School in San Bernardino, Calif, closed out his junior season completing 202 of 320 for 3027 yards for 24 touchdowns and 9 interceptions. He also rushed for 536 yards and two scores. Fuller set a CIF Southern Section single game record when he passed for 604 yards on 30 of 43 passes with eight touchdown passes.

Despite that productivity, Fuller hasn't received any offers yet. He is, however, receiving a lot of attention Oregon, Colorado, Utah, Arizona State, California, Arizona, Florida State, Washington State and UNLV.

“I just transferred to Arroyo this semester,” Fuller said. “I don’t think a lot of people know where I am yet. I’m still getting a lot of mail from San Bernardino High School. Hopefully, I’ll get more exposure playing for Arroyo. I just took my SAT’s too and I haven’t got my scores. I think once those come in, I’ll start seeing some offers.”

Fuller said he heavily favors Oregon over Arizona State, Utah, Arizona, Cal and Florida State. “The most important thing I’m looking for is a spread-style offense,” he said. “That is key…like Oregon, Utah or Florida State…and basically the rest of the Pac-10 teams. The Pac-10 is the number one place I want to be. It’s the best conference, by far. I’m looking to stay on the west coast. I’m from California and I just feel comfortable here. Of course, there are exceptions like Florida State. If an opportunity to play for a top-notch program came up, I will definitely think about it.

“But I really like Oregon,” he said. “I have followed the Ducks since I was young. I have always wanted to play for them. I have talked with them the most I think. I’m planning on going up there this summer for a visit. I really like their offensive style and the coaches there. They have a lot of players from California up there. I think either Oregon or Utah will offer me soon. They are recruiting me the hardest.

“I’m interested in Arizona State because my coach, Marcus Soward, went there and has told me what a great school it is with a great college atmosphere. I’ve gotten some stuff from them and they have been talking to Coach Soward a lot. I’m planning on taking a trip down there really soon.

“Utah is up there too,” Fuller added. “They have a great system and have had a lot of success, even after Coach (Urban) Meyer left. It’s a good program that runs a great offensive system. I’ve talked to them quite a bit.”

With no timetable for committing, Fuller did admit he would be tempted to pull the trigger with an offer from Oregon. “I don’t want to rush it, but if Oregon offered I would seriously have to think about it, especially as a QB. They have everything I’m looking for in a program - a stable coaching staff, a great offensive system and a chance to compete for a national championship. Team chemistry is huge too. That’s going to be something I really look at on my visits.

“I think my strength is my leadership,” he said. “I’m good under pressure and know how to handle adversity. I know how to control the tempo of the offense too. I’m focusing on improving my mechanics right now. My release and my feet could be a step quicker.”

He benches 265, squats 375 and power cleans 245.

Planning on a major in criminal justice, Fuller reports a 2.8 core GPA and is awaiting his March 10 SAT results.
