Ohio Prospect Picking Up Major Offers

Ohio Prospect Picking Up Major Offers

Ohio prospect has found recruiting trail one laided with offers from several major programs.

One Ohio prospect watching his offer total grow is Elliot Mealer of Wauseon (Ohio) High School. The 6-foot-6 280 pound high school tight end has seen college coaches show great interest the past few months earning him a dozen offers in the process.

But while Mealer has enjoyed playing the tight end position in high school, he knows his future lies along the offensive line.

"I play at a high school that runs the wing-T so I don't really catch too many footballs. But I do a lot of blocking and consider myself part of the offensive line. I know I'm going to be a lineman in college and I'm excited about that."

So who has pulled the trigger on Mealer? Well the following programs have already made an official offer. Cincinnati, Michigan State, Michigan, Indiana and Purdue are just five of the dozen programs to make official offers Mealer is quick to name.

At this time Elliot Mealer is looking at each program and looking not so much for the biggest program to make a commitment to but to find the one program where he fits in both on and off the field.

Elliot hoped to take part in the Scout.com Cincinnati Combine but is set to take the ACT on that date. But he's looking at another combine date to attend.
