Jarius Wright, the 5-foot-11, 175 pound wide receiver from Warren (Ark.) finished his junior season with 51 catches for 1086 yards and 15 touchdowns. Wright runs the 40 yard dash in 4.4 seconds and has a 30-inch vertical jump.
"I'm fast," Wright said. "I have pretty good hands and am a good athlete overall. I can take the ball to the house on any play.
"I want to get off the line better and improve my route-running as well."
Wright favors Arkansas slightly over Oklahoma, Texas Tech, Mississippi and Minnesota and he says all have offered.
"I grew up watching Arkansas," Wright said. "They are only about four and a half hours away and I think they have great fans. They did real good last season too. I always enjoy my time there. I used to watch them on TV a lot as a kid and last year I went to the Tennessee game and it was amazing."
He already attended the Razorbacks Junior Day, but no others. He's still unsure whether he'll be attending any combines or camps this spring and summer.
"I'm really not even thinking about college yet," Wright admitted. "I probably won't even really begin to narrow it down until the season starts. This fall I'll start to set up visits and think about everything. I want a good football program in a great overall environment. I'd love to be in warmer weather."
One school that Wright knows he'd like to visit is Oklahoma. "They are a great team every year and I love how they run the ball," he said. "Adrian Peterson did a great job there and I like how they used him."
Wright reports a 2.7 core GPA and a 17 ACT.
