Jermarcus Hardrick (OL, Sardis, MS) - It has been a busy month for the mammoth 6' 6 1/2" 320 pound offensive lineman.
First, he transferred from his "boys" at South Panola to North Panola. Then he moved in with his mother in Sardis, and now he receives his first scholarship offer.
"It felt great," added
Jermarcus Hardrick
. "I have been waiting on my first offer. I thought it was going to be Ole Miss, but it was Auburn."
How did Auburn inform Jermarcus about their offer?
"I spoke to them on the phone. Coach Johnson was on the phone with their coaches, and then he passed the phone over to me. Coach Nall told me they are only taking one offensive tackle, and they really liked my film. They offered me and wanted me to commit and come in and contribute for their team."
How did Hardrick respond?
"I told him that I was going to wait things out before I decide on a school. I am trying to get my grades up, and go to summer school. I am going to wait things out to see what is best for me. But do not get me wrong, I am very appreciative of their offer. Auburn is a great school."
Where does this offer put Auburn in Jermarcus' pecking order?
"Well, I really do not have a leader right now, but my top colleges are Ole Miss, Auburn, MSU, and South Carolina has been recruiting me hard lately. Them and Tennessee."
What does Hardrick like about MSU?
"My coach had called me the other say, and he said they might be sending me an offer pretty soon."
South Carolina?
"I have been getting a lot of letters, hand written letters, telling me I could play for them. I like their style too. I think I would fit in good. They run the ball a lot."
What are Tennessee's positives?
"I have always liked Tennessee. Me and
Quinn Sanford
have been liking them since 9th grade. But it has been in an instate battle for us now with Ole Miss and MSU. I just want to keep Tennessee in contact."
What about Ole Miss?
"Man, they have just been my school ever since Jr Day. They just stand out to me."
