Julio Jones Talks A-Day Visit

The nation's top receiver Julio Jones, from Foley, (Ala.), has kept a low-profile during his recruitment. The 6-4, 215-pound incredible athlete has visited one school during the spring as he tripped to Tuscaloosa for Alabama's annual A-Day game. Scout.com caught up with Jones to talk about the unofficial visit and his recruitment.

"The visit to Alabama went all right," said Julio Jones from Foley, (Ala.). "It was my first time going to a spring game. I thought it was a pretty good crowd. I spoke to coach [Nick] Saban. We just really touched up on the basics."

"Alabama came out and showed me they are going to throw the ball a lot more. The fans showed a lot of support."

"I like the facilities and the coaching staff. I feel like I will have a great opportunity to start as a freshman since they have seniors who will be leaving."

Jones does know what he is looking for in his college choice as he shared, "I am looking for a good education and to start as a freshman."

The five-star receiver has scholarship offers from all across the country and remains humble about the recruiting process.

"I'm really not sure how many offers I am up to," Jones said. "I am letting my coaches handle all of that. We've had one coach come by the school, and that was Lance Thompson from Alabama."

Jones stands 6-3.5, 215-pounds. Foley will begin spring training today, but Jones will not practice due to track obligations.
