Futch Ready For Spring
Jordan Futch has over 20 scholarship offers. While he will likely pick up a few more in May, he's not using it like that. He wants to get better. "With spring just around the corner, I'm looking to improve in some areas," Futch said. "You can never stop improving and I just want to come out a better football player." Futch, 6-foot-3 and 205, is already a real good one. He's one of the state's premier defensive prospects and expects lots of attention over the next month or so. "Coach Wright from Georgia came by," he said. "Coach Meyer and Coach Holliday are supposed to be coming down this week. Auburn and Ole Miss have already called. A lot said they'd be down this week actually. We have our spring game on the 19th." With over 20 offers, it's easy to lose track of them all. However, Futch is keeping a close eye on them. "My newest ones are from North Carolina and LSU," he said. "I'm hoping USC offers. They said they wanna see my transcripts. That would be a nice offer to get." Futch plans on attending summer camps next month at Miami, Florida, Auburn, and perhaps Wisconsin. "I'm still wide open," he said. "I'm still looking at several schools. I just wanna focus on school and our team right now." Futch already has passing test scores and if not for necessary classes in the spring semester, he would likely be an early graduate.
