Everette Thompson, the 6-foot-5, 231 pound defensive end/tight end from John F. Kennedy High School in Burien, Wash., has added Arizona State to his list of offers, giving the Scout.com four-star prospect a total of six, including Washington, Washington State, Minnesota, Arizona and Oregon.
“Arizona State offered about two weeks ago,” Thompson said. “I was surprised, I really wasn’t expecting it. I guess their northwest recruiter was up here and came by my school and told my coach they were going to offer. I haven’t got the written offer yet. They said it’s on the way.
Thompson said his favorites remain the same and he's not ruling anybody out. “But I still like Washington a lot. They are recruiting me the hardest. But I say everybody’s a little more equal now.
“I just think that it’s still really early and I don’t want to jump into anything too soon,” he said. “I’m just trying to slow things down and take a look at all of my options to see what the best fit is for me.
“I’m hearing from Oregon State, Boise State, Northwestern and USC too,” Thompson said. “But none of them have offered yet.”
Thompson, Scout.com’s No. 7 prospect in the Northwest Hot 100, says he plans on taking all of his official visits, but doesn’t know where he'll trip as of yet. “Right now, all I have planned is the Stanford camp on May 19.”
Thompson reports a 3.0 core GPA and is awaiting his May ACT results.
